A former royal palace based on geometrical Renaissance plans, Hampton Court was appropriated by Henry VIII from Cardinal Woolsey. Anne Boleyn was watching a game of tennis at Hampton Court at the time of her arrest and Henry was playing tennis when news was brought to him of her execution. While Hampton Court draws upon the linear structure of the ancient court, our collection reflects a soft and contemporary gracefulness. This handspun, vegetable dyed collection, woven in Agra, recreates 19th Century Sultanabad and Oushak designs.  Each step of the wool procurement, preparation and weaving process is painstakingly done as in the antique pieces.  Upon completion, the carpets are washed and dried in natural sunlight giving them a mellow, aged patina.
